Seminar on May 8 at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino will discuss the importance of the casino experience through sound and sight

New Level Radio Vice President and Co-Founder Nathan Green will speak at the 2019 Southern Gaming Summit on May 8 at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi as part of a session titled, "Not Your Grandfather's Elevator Music: Dive Into the Power of Curated Sound and Sight at Your Casino."

The panel also includes Vicki Haskins, Director of Promotions for Scarlet Pearl Casino, and Anthony Gibson, Executive Director of Entertainment at Beau Rivage, and will examine the importance of the on-property, casino guest experience through sound and sight, featuring a mix of fun and data-driven case studies. The session, which will be moderated by Gary Trask of Casino City Press, will also explore the benefits of curated content for specific areas of a casino, as well as the marketing opportunities many properties are missing out on by relying on typical "background" music and messaging.

"Whether you are 25 or 65, when you walk into a casino you immediately smell, taste and hear something, and the audio is a huge part of that," said Green. "Having content at your casino that speaks to your core demographic is crucial to enhancing the overall experience, and, in turn, will get customers to stay longer and spend more."

Under the guidance of Green and his partner Sam Ambrose, New Level Radio launched in 2007, creating a new niche in the radio and music industry. Today, the Denver-based company delivers customizable radio networks for hundreds of businesses across more than 20 U.S. states, particularly in the casino industry where its clients include MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino and New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Connecticut, and Affinity Gaming properties throughout Nevada.

"We're excited that Nathan will be bringing his decades of experience in the music messaging and marketing industry to this very important topic," said Julia Carcamo, President of J Carcamo & Associates, which is helping promote the Southern Gaming Summit. "This will be a compelling discussion for anyone in marketing, entertainment, F&B or overall casino guest experience."

Founded in 1994, Southern Gaming Summit is the premier casino industry conference and convention for the South and runs this year from May 7-9. Attendees have the opportunity to learn from an extensive conference program, network with colleagues and earn an understanding about industry-best practices, the latest technologies, products and services. Sponsors and exhibitors have access to a wide range of casino executives, decision-makers in gaming, hospitality, food-and-beverage, entertainment, marketing, and government. The Summit also features a Global Gaming Women luncheon, and will honor gaming industry leaders during an evening gala with induction into the Mississippi Gaming Hall of Fame.

Why Savvy Casino Brands are Doubling Down on PR in the Age of AI

BY NATHAN GREEN, CEO, NEW LEVEL RADIO After years of building New Level Radio from the ground up, I’ve learned something that may be surprising: Success rarely comes from selling. It comes from showing up — especially for others. People say, “It’s all about who you know.” But I’ve found it’s more about how you show up for the people you know — and the people you’re about to meet. Some of the most meaningful growth we’ve had at New Level Radio didn’t come from chasing deals. It came from helping others, even when it didn’t immediately benefit us. When we launched New Level Radio, we were a small startup with big ideas — customizing in-store music and messaging programs for businesses that aligned with a brand’s identity. But we didn’t have a marketing budget or a sales team spanning the country. What we did have were people we knew, and people we were willing to meet.
